A big update for SAIA is now live: improved accuracy and 3D models

Today we rolled out a big update for SAIA. We called it “Accuracy and 3D models update”.

First of all, we updated the accuracy and reduced error margin in measuring. From the technical perspective, we have improved recalculation of linear parameters from frontal and side projections into volumetric parameters using a parametrized human body in 3D. In simple terms, this allowed us to achieve significant improvements and reduce discrepancy:

  • for chest – by 84%;
  • for waist – by 131%;
  • for hips – by 81%.

The next big thing: 3D models. Now it’s possible to build a 3D model of every shopper which uses SAIA. The flow remains the same: you need to take two photos with a smartphone camera, and 3D model is complete. It can be used in different ways: for example, for virtual try-on.

We’ve been working on this update for the last two months, and it’s a huge step forward for our technology.
